Lowering interest rates may have helped spur some buying activity in other markets throughout Canada that were experiencing a slowdown, but in Alberta, we were already in a hot market and the rate drop is just contributing to these conditions.

I guess I will start off by saying - we mostly had winners here in Calgary in 2023!
While other markets in Canada saw price declines and sluggish market activity, Calgary and its surrounding towns saw remarkable resiliency in the face of massive mortgage interest rate increases.

The inner-city neighbourhood of Crescent Heights is located north of downtown, across the Bow River. It is home to the iconic Centre Street Bridge (the one that has the lions on it!), gorgeous tree-lined streets and some of the best views of Calgary from the top of McHugh Bluff.
