It’s coming up on 18 years now since I got licensed as a realtor, plus a year as an assistant to a realtor before that… makes me feel old!
I spent a lot of years in this business learning on the go, working, trying, failing, improving, adding to my knowledge and building a successful business.
Through the highs of the 2006/07 boom to the lows of the 2008 crash and a couple more booms and busts after that, I tried to give my clients thorough information, honest advice and great customer service.
As the industry evolved and my business grew, it was time to bring on a new team member.
Parker Toppings joined me in 2021 and I’m so proud of the realtor he has become. I found a great connection in Parker because of his solid ethics and commitment to the craft. He has worked hard these past three years to keep learning every day and he represents his clients’ interests with professionalism and integrity.
And now… we are very excited to announce the addition of a new team member in 2024!
Madison Koekkoek started off as a client of mine but I immediately saw in her a kindred spirit – a strong, smart woman with a kind soul.
Parker and I had been looking for just the right person to join us – someone we and our clients could count on for the same level of customer service and dedication. And of course, we couldn’t resist another team member with an unusual last name! I’m sure you are wondering… you pronounce it ‘koo-koo’!
Madison was looking for a career change to something that she could make her own and we know she is going to rock it as a realtor! Parker has been one of the top-performing new realtors in the city and we are confident Madison will hit the ground running!
Madison will be licensed later this year but you will start seeing her around our events, meetings and showings soon. She looks forward to meeting all of the RiverLife clients so please come and say hi to her at our BBQ!
Knowledge of the city and our real estate market can be taught. Contracts can be learned and negotiation skills can be honed. But you can’t teach someone to care for people. When I met both Parker and Madison, I saw this in them and it’s the cornerstone of our team.
We all work as individual agents with our own clients but it’s great to have a support structure in place to share knowledge and experience and to cover for each other when we take some down time to recharge from this busy market!
We completed a video project recently (big thank-you to clients D&K for letting us film in their gorgeous home!) to articulate what we do when working with sellers. If you know anyone that is thinking about selling, we could love to be able to share it with them 🙂
Thank you for continuing to support our team and a big warm welcome to Madison!
